Arfie Lalani

Arfie Lalani is a designer, budding artist and instructor with the Richard Robinson Academy of Fashion design. Check out his interview about selecting models for the Grande Première 2015. According to the article in the Ottawa Citizen, “the event is staged each May by Ottawa haute couturier Richard Robinson, both as a showcase for his own designs and those of his students. But this year, the show takes on greater significance for both novice and experienced models. With the loss of Ottawa Fashion Week, Grande Première is now one of the last major fashion shows in Ottawa, along with The Loft Gala in May and The Runway for Hope in February.”

Keeping the hustle going on the fashion tip, Arfie is also a team member at

And, in today’s Metro, Toronto edition, artist, poet and architect Komi was interviewed about the evolution of the griot. Going to try and get my hands on a copy.
