Womyn in the diaspora Carleton U project

Daniel Effah is part of a collaborative project on displayed at Carleton University Atrium. The project focuses on the identity of womyn in the African Diaspora and aims to delineate the distorted conceptualization of black womyn.

“Through this project, we explore how complex transnational identities shape the experiences of black womyn and help enclave the identity of black womyn in a better light far from stereotypical perceptions perpetuated in today’s society.”

Other photographers included in the project are:Elfreda Tetteh, Debbie Owusu-Akyeeah, Rashawn Griffith and Mariline Buvat.
